2011 NORTH IDAHO CONCERT SERIES
Free to the Public!
Well, 2011 was another summer
of great music in North Idaho at the
Concert Series in Hayden, Rathdrum, Downtown Coeur d'Alene and Coeur d'Alene City Park!
Thousands upon thousands of people enjoyed numerous concerts and a
variety of music styles throughout the summer. And, thanks to the
businesses, civic groups and families that chose to be sponsors, all
concerts were free to the public! People of all ages and walks of life
gathered at the parks in Rathdrum, Hayden and Coeur d'Alene for an afternoon or evening of
great music and camaraderie. Friendships were renewed and created,
dancers strutted their stuff, children ran and played, and our community
grew a little bit closer. My favorite sight is to see a parent pick up
their young child and dance to the music. Just this description alone
brings a smile to your face, doesn't it?
The information
for all of the 2011 Concert Series will remain on their respective web pages until early
2012, which is when I will start posting the sponsors and bands for the
2012 season.

 Since 1992, Chris Guggemos from Handshake Productions
has organized these free, family friendly concert series. After 20
summers, these concert series have become one of the most anticipated
community events of the summer. In addition to the 2011 concert locations, Handshake Productions has, in the past, also produced concert series in Blanchard, Post Falls, Spirit Lake, and Deer Park, Washington.
Every summer, Handshake Productions
hosts some of the best musical entertainment in the Inland Northwest.
Over the years, the concert series have featured Rock 'n Roll, Rhythm
& Blues, Country-Western, Salsa, Bluegrass, Big Band Swing
Orchestras, Irish-Celtic, and much, much more - and it's all
absolutely free!
With concerts all over
North Idaho, people from many of the
surrounding areas have a chance to attend the free concerts.
